It's a neck accommodator thingie. Basically it means the the internal bed stamping dye is the same one in use 20 years ago.

It's always been in the styleside bed stamping. Look at the back of the bed on the driver's side.

Gen 5 but one day will have a Gen 3 as a trail rig!!!

On and I've had an Gen 2, Gen 3, and 2 Gen 5's!!

I've got 2 gen 1's....an 87 and 88....I've also owned one other 87...(my first truck)
