gauge overlays making speedo stick! solutions?
just lately, my gauge overlays have been making my speedo stick occasionally when increasing speed, and often when decreasing (the motion of the speedo returning to 0 is not smooth, but kinda jerky)
i used thin double-stick tape when i installed em... but obviously that isnt doing the trick, or there isnt enough. does anyone have any surefire solutions theyve tried or heard of that will stop this for good? (other than removing the gauge overlay, heh)

hmm... i actually didnt take the needles off to install the overlay, but i wonder if i could slide the needle off the post a bit to fix it?... im also thinking... if i had accidently pushed the needle on tighter or something, the problem would have started right away, as opposed to 3 months later...

Mine gave no problems all summer, but then as soon as it got cold out the tach started to stick.
Take a fork, and GENTLY pulled the needles up. It takes very little movement to stop the sticking, but you do have some room to play with before they pull off completely. 3 years later I've had no problems.

Pulling the needles upward on their posts worked just great for me. I think I used two very small flattip jewelers screwdrivers to pry them upward ever so slightly. I haven't had any problems with the needles in the 18 months since I installed them. The inverter has burned out once, though!
