If it runs well and you don't have or forsee any problems with it go ahead and put some money into it, but if you are having probelms with it I wouldn't put much money in it. That's just my 2 cents.

Depends on your plans for it and how you currently are and will be using it. Is it a daily driver... 10 or 100 miles a day. If you lift it will you have it parked more often and be driving something else. Will you make use of the lift and tires and wheel it or are you solely going for "the look". If you're going for the look, is the body in good enough shape or will you have to work on that too. If the engine and tranny are good, go for it.

Generally speaking, you can't just go out and buy a lifted and properly equipped truck when you want one -- yes, sometimes you can find what you want, but usually not.

So, if you lift and equip a truck, it then becomes more cost effective to just keep it up and swap in whatever needs replacement. If you get another truck, you have to start all over again and it's a lot of money.

I agree that if you like your truck, then modify it -- but only if you intend to keep it and keep it up and/or keep changing it into the truck you really want.

Otherwise, you're better off running it totally as is until you can get the truck you really want. Sadly, many of our mods add no value to the average buyer or trade-in value. So your money goes bye-bye when you sell it!
