my '99 ranger xlt came with the grey tweed 60/40 seats.
i know most of you guys put explorer seat in, but i was just wondering what kind of nicer seats did ford put in the rangers from the factory? so far i have only seen one ranger that didnt have 60/40 seat stock.. it was a '96 ranger w/ the grey velour buckets with lumbar adjustments and grey center console mounted to floor.
was there any rangers '98 up that came with buckets?
anyone have pics?

2002 FX4 Off Road came with cloth black buckets with "cracked ice" inserts.
2003+ FX4 LEVEL II's came with cloth buckets. They are black with a red or blue insert. They also started putting black leather buckets as an option in FX4's 05 maybe. Can someone confirm this?
STX's also have buckets, i think 2004 plus.
There are also buckets in some short cabs, but im not sure of the specifics.

The best factory seats would be in the mid 90's power bolster and lumbar support and the front of the seat has a support that extends for the thighs. the '03 fx4 L3v3l II's were good looking to and had manual lumbar support.

It was on option ordered by the peron who bought it new in 1996.

The Sport Trac comes with a similar arrangement, different console. Some of the sport tracs comes with two tone leather seats and they are more comfortable. And some newer Rangers come with black cloth buckets (sometimes with colored inserts), some with leather buckets.
Those seats look awesome but I'm sure are still just as uncomfortable as the standard Ranger seats. I wanted a set of those badly but ultimately went with the Sport Trac seats. I'm so glad I did as I wouldn't have it any other way.
Ive got dark gray inserts in mine, if I I were to get those seats there I would have them re upholstered in cloth
except my truck is to messy and dirty and its embarrassing to have a girl in my truck. since i use it for work most of the time.. and i also have a center console. which i love because i have so much random stuff just chilling in my truck and i can stuff it all in there and its "put away" if i have to clean up real quickly.
i have the black cloth buckets with a grey insert with a shorty console and i love them. much better then a 60/40 imo

I like my 60/40 lol
