What year did the Ranger get a fiberglass bed?

Back when mine was made (2002) the only fiberglass ones were the stepsides. The regular beds like mine are metal. That was true back to 2000 at least because a friends 2000 stepside was fiberglass.

I have no idea if or when the regular beds went fiberglass. I thought they were still metal but I haven't looked at one closely.

All the newer ones I have seen have metal beds, minus the flaresides which are fiberass.

1993 is the first time they had fiberglass bed sides on Splash/Stepside/Flareside beds but remember it still has the steel tailgate and inside

lol!

Well, as usual, I have taken the level of discussion to a much lower plane, lol...and gone completely off topic in the process, and brought others with me. Ain't I talented?

My apologies to the original poster -- I meant no disrespect I just get carried away.

Only thing that will never rust out on my Ranger are the bedsides and the hood......LOL

As for the rest of it, it's a Ranger, rust is what they do.....LOL
