What year frames are the same?

Hey fellas, my wife had an accident in our 2000 2.5L xlt standard cab. I've been hunting for a frame to replace the crushed up one. She had another accident years ago when she bought it new and even though Ford attempted to repair it, they didn't do the job correctly. Can anyone tell me what years and what model frames will work? I appreciate any information or advice. Thanks again, Jeremy

It's a 2000 2.5L so it's 2WD.

You're best bet for direct swap is a 99-01 2.5L frame. Any other frames will have some differences with the wiring and lines and stuff like that. If you can't find that frame you can make a 98 2.5L frame work fairly easily. And 01-03 2.3L frames will bolt up with a little more difficulty.

You can have mine fro $3k lol. You get the rest of the truck for free.

Do ya'll think it would be feasible to cut the front section of the passenger side frame after the coil spring and welding in a new front section of the passenger side frame?

Have you ever thought about taking it to a body shop with a frame straightener and see what they say?

No, you lose all strength as soon as you cut thru ANY section of the frame.
in theory, most any Ranger frame will swap, but if you want it to be easy, your better off finding 99-01 years regular cab.
I'd do what Blhde said, Take it to a shop and that does frames, if they're guy is good he'll have no problem doing it.
Post some pictures. I do Frames for a living, i can pretty much tell you if its fixable or not by looking.

Here are some pictures of the frame horn and the passenger side frame rail from top and bottom. I measured across from the back of the frame rail just before the front suspension in the bay. Then I measured from frame horn to frame horn. If I remember right I came up with around 5/8" of difference. She originally wrecked the truck back in 2000 and Harpeth Ford did a **** poor job of fixing it. Where the driver side fender meets the hood and where the driver side fender meets the cowl, the body gap is too far out. I haven't had that fender off yet to figure if the problem is in the fender or if the inner fender apron is just that much out of whack. But it looks like I'm gonna be attempting a frame off lol, I guess we'll see how it goes.

Thanks for any help fellas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That bumper bracket is fixable. You can order a new one, Beat the old one off and the new one will go on. however, that frame section you posted in pic 3 and 4 has been repaired. your fender gap is a bit big.
My opinion: Don't waste your money on doing a frame swap, that IS repairable. Just find a body shop for the frame repair, that should get pretty close to being original. You'll just have to explain to the guy that a Ford Dealer did it original and they messed it up. Like i said about the bumper bracket, take the old one off, put new one on.

We actually got an estimate and one of the local collision places said $690 to fix the bracket ( I planned on doing that myself), and pull and align the frame. But I've been finding frames anywhere from $150 to $800. The wife is pretty set on putting a new(good) frame under it. Which I gotta admit, I'm kinda digging the idea. But we only have so much money to work with and I don't wanna go over kill on a truck we plan on using as a truck lol.

In the long run, i'd say fixing it is cheaper than swapping it. swapping a frame will probably nickel and dime you to death.
i'd ask one of the guys who has done frame swapping on here before you do it.

All I see is cosmetic damage, that frame section is before the front suspension. So its not critical. Take the easy way out.

Lol, yeah believe me I thought about it Blhde. But I could use a challenging project and I need to be able to sell this truck sometime next year to move up to a new F150. Thanks for the help everybody.

Just the frame is.
The front will be a slightly different set up. 99 had PVH 4x4, 03 didn't

Body and engine mounts will be the same.
I don't know offhand if the mounts are the same for both engines. I would assume that its like you stated. same mount, different adapter.
