Advice for Front Bearing issue...
I have a 93 ford Ranger(4x4, 4.0L, Auto hubs) with a worn right bearing/spindle(noisy). I not finding any used spindles to replace this one.
1. I am just wondering if anyone knows of a cheap solution to this problem?
2. Is it possible to convert to a 2 wheel drive without a lot of hassle and does it get rid of the wear problem?
About 2 years ago I spent almost $1000.00 bucks to a shop and it didnt seem to last that long.
Not 6 months ago I had les schwab do a bearing packing and that didnt fix it.
Any recomendations I will be gratefull for...

How can the spindle be bad? Unless the bearings were ungodly loose to the point of causing steering issues, the inner bearing race shouldn't have done any damage.
I sometimes forget to check my bearings after hard wheeling and they get a little sloppy and on 35s I have yet to see any damage done to my spindles.

your spindles are extremely strong. Look at the abuse they go through with out breaking... Hell I know one guy who rolled his truck down a hill, and didnt break a spindle.
I vote for replacing the entire hub assembly. you can get the midrange version at autozone for about $235. I just replaced my driver side front.
