wierd noise when turning on pavement - sometimes like grinding

this started a couple wks ago, i forgot to post it.... like others have said, i have the mind of a steel trap

when turning on DRY pavement like in smooth parking lots, i sometimes get a like, grinding noise in the front end... at first i thought it was my bald front drivers side tire, but now i think its something else...... what up ther could it be? i got 35K miles on it, so whats coming up on the ol 'replace this cause its worn out' list?

umm it could be the dust shield rubbing on the rotor, i had that problem on a mazda dont know if it would be similar.

its not tire rub.... well my passenger tire has always rubbed a lil bit, but its not that. cause theres no 'clean' marks. this almost is like a bad cv shaft, but not quite.
