tune poll
I posted this poll on another forum and got an OK response.
What I do see searching is people asking for recommendations
on what tunes they should get and thought it would help.
I would like to know also. My favorite is the 93 tune for the acceleration but here in AZ I can't get 93 I have to put 91 in and put a booster in it.
That gets pricey. With that said the 91 is my favorite for the same reasons.
The 87 is a definite upgrade from stock but my thinking is I just spent $400 on a tuner so why not spend the $4.00 filling a 20 gallon tank and go for the best tune I can.
I made it so you can vote for more than just one for different reasons you have.

I've got the 87 and 91 Performance and the 91 Torque tunes from Bamachips. So far, I like the 91 Perf best. And I agree, why not spend the extra couple of bucks to use the highest tune. We have 92 octane here and that's what I use, but Doug must've missed that when I ordered the tuner from him.
I'm actually going up to meet with Fred at Rogue Performance (BOSS 3.0 from RPS) tomorrow to get a custom tune. He's gonna do some datalogging on my truck and really dial it in. Gonna do the same thing in a few months when the weather turns colder and the winter blend fuels are out. Should be good year round after that.

I sent a data log from my truck to Fred and he told me it was fine I didn't need a custom tune. I found that to be very professional is a world where rip offs are so common.
I have a case of octane boost coming so I'll start running the 93 tune until the boost runs out. Sometimes there are good deals on E-Bay.

As of today it's a 92 Custom tune!! I also got a 92 Winter tune done so when the fuel blends change I'm all set! The difference between the generic tune and a custom is huge! Really woke the old girl up.
If 93 octane was readily available in Washington, that's what I would've had the tunes done for. But, alas, we only have 92.
91 performance seems real popular. I would think the 93 would be.

I wouldn't worry too much about one or two points on the octane. From what Fred told me, there's only a couple of degrees of timing that can be advanced for each level of octane. You'd see it more on a dyno graph than you'd feel seat of the pants.
