LULZ.
I need to figure out which bed weighs moar, then go to the opposite bed. I want weight reduction! I would guess the styleside (splash) would weigh less but I would get one of the last years offered. |
Yeah i was trying to figure it out when we swapped beds on my brothers truck. But he had his tool box and pro-tech bar in it so it was anyones guess. Not sure how much those fiberglass bedsides weigh....

I'll tell u this for sure, When pickupman 92 and I swapped beds...styleside to flare..it was all we could do for 2 guys to pick the flareside up..but my styleside..was easy as can be to pick up...there was quite a weight difference between the 2 when empty
Yeah we swapped beds in a walmart parking lot in atlanata georgia, then a year later my truck got totalled :( |

I've tried to figure this one out but I can't....I had my neighbor and a friend help swap my 01 and 04 fleetside beds. We all know the 01 fleetside weighed at least 20-40 lbs more than the 04 bed. The only reason I swapped them was because the 04 bed was beat up. The 01 bed does have a metal exhaust shield underneath it but that wouldn't be the sole cause of the added weight. It has to be thicker sheet metal all the way around.
