Watch for waterpumps on the V6s. The Zetecs are pretty much bulletproof. Nice little cars, I don't understand why they were so hated, yet everyone loves the Focus.

That's acceptable. Especially since it's GO! Now those of you who sold your Rangers for something other than Fords must lay down on the alter and sacrifice yourself to the Ranger gods or you will suffer a life of misery and will be forced to live in the same room as Obama until you die.

2 yrs ago I had a 2000 mazda b2500 that was a single cab 5spd, I loved it, and it was showroom perfect, but i hated only having the regular cab, not enough room to stretch out. Also I had a camaro at the same time and i was going off to school so i could only keep one, so the mazda was sold. Then I sold the camaro because of how much i liked the mazda, and got a way better ranger.

I sold my 2000 XL Ranger because i couldn't fit a car seat myself and my wife in a single cab. I also needed something to tow a little more for work. I said goodbye to my Black Ranger almost a month ago and am now driving a 2004 F250 5.4L Supercab XLT. I'll drive ford till they stop making them.

i had an 88 regcab 2wd with over 200k on it and it was worn out. so i sold it when i got my 59 f100, it was fun for a few years then moved on to a F250 w/ a 460, that was a waste of gas, then went to a F150 but i didnt like that it wasnt a 4wd, so i got my 03 FX4 cause thats exactly what i wanted. I love all my fords.

I got rid of the Ranger because I was offered WAY more than it was worth and jumped on it...
I got a Jeep but after 1 summer, it served its purpose as i always wanted one...it wasnt practical and it was showing signs of future problems
I now have a 2005 Grand Prix GTP Comp G
I still have the Magnum too

I did a downgrade to the Ranger for gas mileage (hahaha I'm rolling right now) and the fact I wanted a newer nicer truck. Honestly, as much as I like my Ranger, I'm getting ready to sell it for something bigger again... fullsize itch has me goin again.... that and if I'm getting worse gas mileage than a fullsize and I'm running around in a V6... c'mon, common sense says get the power! OH I get 13.8 average MPG.
I have a lift and 33.25/11.75 tires and I get 17-19 mpg and thats half highway/half city. I would be 20+ if it was all highway.

I babied all my rangers, Ask anyone who knows me and with a bone stock 4.0 with only a upgraded exhaust and 4.10's I was lucky to get 16 MPG sometimes 17 if I was lucky. This is with a 01 auto and an 04 manual. My explorer though had a 4.0 OHV 4.10s and 160K+ miles and would get 24 MPG on my trip from Watertown to Minneapolis. It would get 10 MPG in town, but I drive one mile a day so that kill any vehicles economy. My dodge gets 9 MPG in town and 16 on the highway.

Thats because you treat your truck like ****. 13.8 mpg is a ****ing joke and to be honest I think you have to purposely cause harm to your truck to get that ****tyof gas mileage.
