Icon6 wierd alarm problem.....

I have 98 4x4 ranger about a year ago my alarm started going off, i couldn,t get it to shut off so i disconnected the battery..so i went online and read a thread about disableing the alarm by grounding out a certain wire in the door harness. i did that and it worked so i could atleast start my truck...
but it also disable my remote starter i haven,t been able to use it since
how evernow the weird part is my truck will start on its own and i don,t even carry my old remote with me and ive been miles from my home when this has happened or in my garage its happened at least 15 20 times so far
my factory alarm works fine and that remote opens and locks the doors
any suggestions??? to reset evrything....
