Wierd Power Steering.

Heres the story, First rack went bad in my truck in like 03 so I replaced it with one from napa, then I dropped the truck 5/6 in spring 05 and when they aligned it they pushed the boot back and all the salt and walter destroyed the rack again so i replaced it spring of 06 lol.

Heres the weird story today i was driving not an issue im turning into gas station to go get raped for gas prices and necxt thing i know the steering wheel is vibrating and the power steering pump is crying. So I check it its empty weird, I havent seen any dripping from the rack? I just dont know where the fluid of gone if it would of leaked I would see it because i park in the same spot in my driveway every day...

so I filled it up it seems to be back to normal now I just cant understand where the fluid went its like it disapeared magically what are you guys thoughts?

Did you by chance turn the steering wheel without the truck on before this happened? I know it can cause problems like that.

Im not sure if the 2wd have them but the 4wd have a ps cooler near the rack.

Check your lines, also check to see if your ps pump res cracked.

I checked all of them, and if something did go bad would it of leaked?

lol the first rack was destroyed not due to the drop, but the people who aligned it.

even though I have destroyed that black plastic box thing where the tranny cooler is and all, and my back bumper from backing out of my driveway. and tweaked my tranny crossmember.

Its possible.

I know for a fact a power steering fluid steeling nymph doesn't exist.

You maybe have a small spray out of a hose that goes on to the ground due to being so low.

Or the last place that changed your oil decide to steal your power steering fluid.

Yeah I dunno i doubt it has anything to do with being low ive checked everywhere possible and its all dry and no hints of any leaks or sprays.
