Ford explorer leaf packs on ranger
2002 fx4
I recently installed a 4 inch superlift kit on my front end. However the kit came with blocks for the rear. I really do t
want to go that way considering I already have blocks from the factory.
I cannot for the lift of me find a 4 inch leaf pack lift for the ranger and looked into Ford explorer leaf packs. I have heard a rumor that they are a direct fit and add 2 inches to the car. So if I got a 2 inch explorer leaf pack that would add 4 inches? (Assuming I could find one).
Does anyone have any good ideas to get my back to the same level (if not slightly higher because I'm putting a roof top tent in the back). I am completely lost here, been trying to find a way on the internet for hours.
(I am sorry for another "HOW DO I LIFT MY TRUCK" post. I am just a little lost on what to do for the back end.

I can't speak for whether they are a direct fit, but I'm running a home-made spring pack with an AAL and the stock block and it put my truck right where I wanted it. I can't remember the exact layout of the springs, but one or two were from my stock Ranger pack, and the other three or four were from an Explorer 5.0 pack.
Another option people run on Rangers is the Chevy 64" spring packs from Deaver. They're longer, so they require you to move the front spring perches forward, but I'm pretty sure they provide some lift and better articulation as well. Take a look at Deaver's website. They may even offer something direct fit for Rangers.

I am running a pair of skyjacker fr34s leaf springs and the 6400 shackles in the back. It's enough lift to run the leafs directly on the axle. Even got rid of the factory block. It's level, and I've also got the superlift kit up front, so I'd guess you would get similar results. I'm very happy with the setup, just need to figure out some bumpstop for it. The leafs are ~$250 each and the shackles are $50, so less than 600 bux and you get spring over axle goodness. Hate to give them business but those leaf springs are on Amazon.

They do bolt right up, same dimensions as stock just a deeper arch. The shackles do push the rear axle forward some, about an inch, but it's not super noticeable to me.
However, I just found that skyjacker also sells an fr36s which will give an extra 2 inches of lift past the fr34s. It looks like the fr36s would allow you to go spring over axlevwith no block and use the stock shackles to retain the original axle location and end up with 4" of lift or close to it.
Here's how mine sits, the mud flap on the back makes it look less uneven but there's a good inch or so extra space on the back side of the tire/arch.
