reinforcing the front skid plate
ya ya.. i didnt wanna jack a thread..
ok, take my front skid plate yall are peeing on and saying how crappy it is blah to you. anyways, what if, i took 1inch angle iron, and flipped it over, like this V only upside down, and welded it with my crappy welding skillz to the skid plate.... wouldnt that make it significantly stronger?

drill em out with a carbide bit, then use stainless steel bolts and lockwashers. thats how mine is attached, infact all my skid plates are using dads collection of stainless.... shh thats our secret.
and making your own skid plate? thats if you have lots of patience, and a million dollars in metal fabrication.... ill admit we got alot of tools, but no way to make a factory like skid plate. I dont want to take off my front valance, i think it looks good the way it is.... i dont do any serious off roading, but, if i could reinforce it a lil with out losing too much asthetics, thats all good in my book.

This aftermarket plate uses 1/8" wall, 2" tubing on either side with a plate in between . The stocker could be beefed up in a similar way using tube or angle or a new one could be fabbed with thicker steel for the plate.
