Window Problem - Motor? Regulator?

All of a sudden, out of the blue, my drivers side window is giving me troubles.

I'm not sure if it has to do with sitting undriven for months or what.. Basically it was going down jittery, slowly, and then not at all.. It would go up pretty good though..

I made a video clip of it that hopefully helps.. I actually made it for a friend who's a mechanic out of state but I'm hoping someone here may have some advice.

Thanks!

I would say regulator since you can hear the motor working.

Right after it goes up I immediately then hit down.. It takes a few seconds but eventually starts goin.

Just thrown this out there, but I noticed that you have your windows modified. If you did some cut and splicing, mabe your getting a short in your set-up. It might also be your switch, my power mirror switch went out, but before it totally died the mirrors would act in weird ways. But when I had problems with any electrical on my Mazda it usually was my fault, from me not proplerly sealing up my wiring job, once I went through the wiring and buttoned everything up better, my weird problems dissapeared.

Thanks for the suggestion.. Maybe I will remove the modifications and see if that changes anything..

The door panels aren't hard to pull off... you might just want to pull them off and watch everything as it works... maybe you will be able to see what the deal is. Perhaps you just need to lube the tracks or something.

Did you watch my two youtube links? I have the panel off and recorded exactly what it was doing so hopefully someone would know what the problem was.
