Window seal installation

I ordered a window seal kit from LMC for the doors on my 90 Ranger XLT, the clips that are on the seals will work on the door, but the other seal is attached to the door panel by what looks like heavy staples and has no provisions for the clips. Called LMC and the are worthless, they have NO tech support of any kind. Has anyone here done this seal replacement, I need assistance. Thanks.

They should just slide onto the lip of the door panel like the outer ones do.

the originals are stapled on, no holes for the clips that are on the replacements.

I understand that. It's hard to tell from your pictures how the clips are oriented, but you should be able to slide the opening of the clips over the lip on the backside of the door panel. It's hard for me to explain over the internet. lol.

No, I understand what you are saying, but the way the clips are the new seals will not work on the door panels. I'll just replace the ones that clip directly to the outer door skin leave the interior ones as is. What I'm really upset about is the fact that LMC has NO CLUE as to how the parts they sell are to be installed. They have no tech department. Their answer to my question was "you have to see your mechanic" I really want to thank you for your help. I will have to modify the door panel for this to work. If it works, I will document it and post it here. Thanks again.

The staples should not be going through the rubber, they should just be holding the clips.
Carefully loosen the staples, do not remove them, the old seal should now just lift up and out.

To install new seal slide the clips into the loop of the staples, and re-tighten staples carefully.

the old seals are directly stapled to the plastic door panel, there are no clips. The staple in the foreground of the 2nd pic is the staple for the upholstery.
