wont shift ino 4x4 lo

wont shift ino 4x4 lo

what could be the problem i have the shift on the go
it goes into 4x4 high no problem but could it just be the switch or is it the transfer case??

not 100% sure, but i think that you have to have the ebrake engaged and the trans in neutral, no shift on the fly because youre not supposed to go over like 5mph

naw just tried both of those and still wont go into 4x4 low

my ranger is an 02 and I have to have it in neutral but not the e-brake but it takes mine about 5 second to engage

You have to be stopped or going slower that 5mph(might as well stop) and if an auto you have to have it in neutral with your foot on the brake and if its an manual then clutch down and your foot on the brake. Its all in the instruction manual.

ok but the thing is ive tried all of those and it wont go into 4x4 low

pull your t-case shift motor off and see if it is turning to the 4 low position.....if it isn't, then that is your problem...
