Won't turn over leaks gas
 

I have a 2004 Ford Ranger it won't turn over like its not getting any fuel when I sprayed fuel started into the intake it turned over and gas came pouring over the gas tank and and then stalls out I would appreciate any help

OK, turns over means starts to you right?

turns over means starter motor is turning engine or not turning engine to me.

So from what I am reading starter motor works but engine wouldn't start.
You then added gas or starting fluid to intake and engine started, but died, so you have spark but no fuel from fuel system.

And you also noticed gas leaking down from top of gas tank once engine started.


My guess would be the fuel line at the top of the gas tank is broken.
So no gas is getting up to the engine and no start.

Ford fuel pumps only run when engine is running, each time you turn on the key the fuel pump will run for 2 seconds, but thats it, it won't run again until engine starts.
So when you started the engine by manually adding fuel the fuel pump came on full time and fuel started leaking out the break in the line
