radius arm bushings arent hard, just a PITA. axle pivot bushing...three words, ball joint press. the rest are easy.

Yeah if you get into pivot joints, you may be needing a shop press and die to do the job. However if you just want to clean up the suspension some, you can get rid of the squeak with an air-impact wrench, some metric deep impact sockets, and a set of Metric combo wrenches. Mechanix gloves help a lot too, since you'll be banging your hands on everything while laying precariously underneath...

super easy......pull the radius arm, then slid the bushings off and slide the new ones on...

if you have a repair manual for your truck, it will go into detail on how to remove the radius arm...

a good investment would be to go to your local auto parts joint and get preferabily a Chilton Manual, but a Haynes Manual will work too......

there is a lot of good info in there for $20.....

to get the radius arm off you have to take out the front springs and then remove 2 large (i belive they were something like 1" nuts) bolts that go 1 into the top of the axle beam and 1 in the bottom....then you have to remove the driveshaft so you can push the axle foward....you may also have to remove the sway bar....then unbolt the rear of the radius arm and slip it out of the bracket.....there is a bushing on either side of the bracket (kinda like a stud on top of your front shocks).....repeat in reverse order to re-install......then repeat whole process for other side...

hope that helps...

be sure to have a GOOD impact wrench, plenty of PB Blaster, and some heat to get the radius arm bolts out of the axle beam.....

Those bolts are going to be a big **** to get loose as well, just make sure you have a nice full tank of MAP gas in your torch and plenty of PB Blaster and heat/spray the hell out of those nuts. You'll also probably need a breaker bar with a cheater extension on it to break em loose. My 94's were a major PITA when we lowered it.

na dont need a torch...just use a small hand help propane torch.....all you have to do is heat it up enough to start to break the lock tight.....then hit it with a GOOD impact wrench....

a cheater bar is a good way to put a nice dent in the side of your truck......speaking from experence...

well you have 2 options....

1. go to a dealer and get the stock rubber bushings
2. call Summit and get aftermarket poly bushings

i would go with the poly bushings....they will last longer and dont break down over time like rubber...
