First time poster here.
I have been doing some reading about V8 engine swaps for our rangers. I was curious, has anyone thought about putting a beefy mustang v6 in? those things produce a lot of power for their size and might make it easier to install.
If anyone has done this, I'd like to read about it.
Thanks!

mustang V6s are beefy? that's news to me. and if you do a little digging, you would know that the same 4.0 SOHC that is in the Ranger from 01-11 is also in the 05-10 V6 Mustang. if you happen to be talking about the new 300hp Mustang V6 then yes, it has been discussed before, but the cost would be horrendous so it not feasible. if you are talking about the 3.8L OHV from the 90s and early 00s then HAHAHAHAHAHA.

There isn't a V6 out there right now that's going to be worth all the effort or money to swap. In a few years, the 300hp used one may come down in price as they become more common, but right now the best thing is to build your motor, or swap a V8.
Welcome, by the way.
