strange cylinder while stopping

over the last few months of winter i've noticed a strange sound when i brake. i'll come to a complete stop at the lights and then i'll strat hearing a sound almost like a cylinder de-pressurizing. the sound seems to be coming from somewhere behind the drivers seat although i havent pin pointed it directly. the truck is a 2009 4X4 4.0L with 62,000 km. on it. can anyone tel em is this normla for these trucks or is this something to be conserened about. on the side i would like to add i have noticed that the brakes don't feel the same as when i bought the truck however at 62,000 i'm still running the factories brake pads with no signs of squeal yet.
