You know you drive a Ranger when you have to battle the shifter or double clutch in order to get into gears every now and then due to the blasted hydro clutch system not being free of air...
and/or when you don't notice those potholes because of the 31" BFG's... and/or when you are going to research the cost and feasibility of a T-5 swap into your Ranger, rigged with a mechanical clutch just so you don't ever have to worry about a hydro system suddenly breathing air again... That's the only thing I hate about this truck... the stupidly designed and infernal, blasted hydraulic clutch system... Going to try a couple more methods of bleeding it, and if that fails, I'll probably bring it somewhere to get it serviced... If they can't guarantee that the clutch system is going to work flawlessly for more than 4 years, I probably will say good bye to the M5OD and the hydro clutch... and put a T-5 in with a cable clutch like Ford should've... |
you know you drive a ranger when you install a expo dome light and it somehow kills your GEM..

You know you drive a ranger when you can tear the whole front end apart on a Sunday afternoon to replace wheelbearings.....and brakes, hell put a locker in and setup new gears while it is all apart...then drive it monday to work and get to tell you co-workers what you did over the weekend and they look at you like you have cancer.
You know you drive a ranger when you take off from a stop and the driveline thunks, and has been thunking for 70k miles, and have yet to replace the boot and put some lube on like Ford says to do. You know you drive a ranger when you bought the piece with 165k miles on it and said, "ill make you like new baby, but even better!" You know you drive a ranger when you rather spend money on gears, lifts, tires, lockers, sliders and God knows what else, but you can't bear the thought of wasting $200 on a new windshield cuz yours is severely illegal with cracks. You know you drive a ranger when only the athletic girls ask for a ride into town cuz the bigger ones know that can't jump up that 6" Skyjacker lift to save their live's. And lastly, you know you drive a ranger when, you waste more time looking on the internet at other rangers and mods to do, even when you don't have the money and should be focusing on studying that fat a$$ physics exam in the morning! ^ Story of my life :27: |
