HIDs in an 06

HIDs in an 06
I've been wanting some improved lighting for quite a while now, I have been against HIDs due to the glaring and have thus planned on purchasing some Silverstar Ultras. However considering that Silverstar Ultras & HID kits are nearly the same price while HIDs are much much brighter its getting harder to justify spending more for less lighting.
After reading a bunch of posts about people not having problems with their HIDs (IE: getting flashed) I came to the conclusion that I'm going to get a set in about a week.
I'm not going to allow myself to knowingly blind people. If I get flashed I will either re-sell them (considering there is a high demand it shouldn't be hard at all which is one of the reasons I'm willing to try this) or get some headlamps that prevent the glare. My question is, what options do I have in regards to glare prevention headlamps?
Also, I was thinking that aiming the lights super low would help.
Current lights shine like so:
- <--- light shines out directly in front of me
With the HIDs if I aim my lights down like so:
/ <--- light shines down (little exaggerated )
Would this help?

Only thing to "cure" the glare, is modding your headlamp housing with a projector from an HID equipped vehicle. Nice used ones from like an infiniti are around $150.
Oneway to reduce the glare is to aim your lights a little downward. I have only been flash twice, but from the same guy on the same street at the same time frame but on a different day. I directly equate this flashing due to my right hand housing being aimed right at the oposing lane. Still need to fix that though.

Dude, chill out. I have HID's in my highbeam/lowbeams, and the fogs of my truck. I also have them in my lowbeams and fogs of my EVO. If you lower the aim down you will not get flashed at. Lower it one turn after you put them in, and continue to lower it one turn each time you realize people are flashing at you. Your nuts if you think it will be easy to mod your headlights to have projectors in. The reason we dont have projector headlights available to purchase is because with 9007 bulbs there is no point.

I am very chill, just asking a question, exploring my options.
I installed them yesterday, for safe measure I lowered both sides 10 turns. They are pretty darn low. Judging from my test the glare from the HIDs was at a lower level then the stock halogen bulbs main shine, so I'm extremely confident I wont have any problems.

LOL, i never put anything in the bed of my truck except groceries. I use it like a car: It's nice though to have a vehicle that I can drive thats not 3 inches off of the ground in the front.
With my other vehicle, I have to be very careful respecting my ride-height.
Adjustable coilovers will do that to you.....
