'06 - '07 Headlight switch w/ built in fog light switch.......
would it be possible to get this to work on my truck and still be able to use the fog light switch that was built into it? I would like that feature and then i could have 2 switches that look factory on my dash but use them for something else? I know Bob or John will chime in......i really like the headlight and fog light switch together in 1 switch.......
|
I believe that the combined switch is 07 only and I don't have any 07 wiring diagrams yet. My guess is that it would work electrically but I couldn't say for sure without seeing the schematic.
|
ahhh man i can't wait till you get the wiring diagrams......i would really like to do that and use the factory fog light switch to use for something else....like controll the a/c compressor.....

my 04 sport trac has a combined switch with automatic headlights
you can see it in this pic Attachment 210393 |
^^dang that means i would have to also buy an new dash piece......ouch that could get expensive.........i though the switch was like the Dodge trucks were you pull the headlight switch out and the fogs came on....
BTW.....my gf said that is a cute picture of you kid... |
well, on my trac, its molded as part of the dash
dont know on the new rangers though |
hmmmm.....i may have to go look at an '07 Ranger tomorrow and see how it is on them.......i still like the way it is mounted on the Sport Trac....

all you need to do is pull the switch out and the fogs come on.

thanks Cody........i like that but i bet it would be hard to mold into my dash.....
|
Looks like they took a Focus headlight switch from like 02-03 and put it in the ranger. I like mine better.
|
lol, I love mine :) no problem Maurice, hope it works out for ya, I think it would be a cool mod...
|
good to know I'm not the only one who wanted to put this in their truck. I like the way it looks, maybe its just me getting tired of seeing the same switch for the last 4 years lol. The other reason I like it is because I dont have fog lights and would like to add them and this would eliminate my need to add a switch to the bezel. I like to keep things looking as factory as possible.
|
07SPORT: when you pull the switch to look at the wires could you get the part # for the switch and the dash piece the switch mounts to? Thanks
