1979 f-250 HP dana 44 Big Hub?
is this a good axle for SASing? i already have 2 dana 30's but dont want to waist my time with those...i dont remember if 79 is a good year.....i seem to remember 77's being good but did they change anything in 79? also are these set up for leaves or coil with radius arms? is so is 79 cast on wedges or weld on? thanks
http://humboldt.craigslist.org/pts/2081207277.html sorry for the 2 threads but i want to know if i should buy this before its gone and for some reason the SAS section doesnt go on the main page?... |
A f250 d44 will be leaf spring and 8 lug.

a 79 is setup with leaves.
it also has smaller hubs on it which the same as half tons. its not the large hubs like found on 76 and 77 you could weld on lower link mounts without having to do much grinding at all. i think there is enough room on the drivers side. |
all 73-79 4x4 3/4 tons have leaf springs
I'm confused on the hub sizes, I don't think they are different. You can swap wheels on any 73-79 3/4 ton with each other |

Alright I see what you mean now, thanks for the clarification
