Replacing the bulb without hurting plastic

I need to rplace the bulb at my dome light .but to take it out without breaking the plastic cover .anyone? Thanks

Here is a video explaining how it is suppose to come off, using a screwdriver and the slot in the dome light base, or by squeezing the cover to release it, if neither works then there is another method shown which always works but becareful:

Use LED bulbs to replace current bulbs and this will be the last time you have to do this.
