drum removal bolt hole size?

drum removal bolt hole size?

What size bolt is needed to thread into the holes to remove the drums? Does anyone know?

To remove the drums I've always just tapped with a hammer and pulled them off. Whatchu talkin bout? lol

Drums are threaded ?
Then why have I always needed a BFH and a pry bar to get them off ?

Maybe they don't have them... I know some vehicles do.

theirs no hole on ranger drums. mine just slide off with out even using a hammer

there are no threaded holes in our drums or rotors. only ford i have seen that on is fusion and flex

You probably have to back off the adjusters inside to release the shoes. Might have gone to long and the shoes are in a groove causing the drums not to come off.

Backing the adjusters off is the easiest way to do it.

I know what the OP is talking about. My old blazer had them. They didn't work that well since if they were really stuck on...you'd pop the threads out....then you got to go back to the BFH.

don't need a bolt, on really bad brake jobs I.e. the people who come in when they start hearing a noise, i use a 8lb sledge hammer.
so just beat the crap out of them. they'll fall off eventually.
