2008 - Speedometer stops at 10 mph - Help!

I have a 2008 Ranger XL 2wd 3.0\auto.
The speedometer just stopped working. It works up to 10 mph and then stays at 10. I don't think it's a sensor issue as I can read the ODB reported speed and it is correct.
Mechanical speedometer failure or is there something else???
Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum

Around 2005 Ford changed Rangers over to full electronic instruments/dashboards
So the computer actually runs the speedometer

Google: ford instrument cluster self diagnosis mode

Find the method to enter the test mode on your model

This Test mode will show you if there is a problem with speedometer, which it reads like there is, since computer is reading correct speed.

Icon14 RonD, You are the man!

Thanks!!!!! Ran through the diagnostics and the gauge worked perfectly!
Drove it a few miles and it appears to be working normally now.
Must've been stuck(??).

Yes, or could have been a glitch in dashboards microprocessor
