I want remote start on my 1998 ranger. I work nights and its getting rather cold in the morning when I come out from work. I have a clear view of my truck though the windows of the building and dont park more than say 150 feet from a clear line of sight for a remote.

Ideally id like to use this system

Has anyone ever hooked on of these up before?

P.S. my truck is pre-PATS so no worries there, no power anything either so this is remote start only

 

Should be pretty easy. I looked at the wiring instructions and a lot of them are stuff you won't have to do such as power locks and alarm disable/enable.

Your gonna have to get yourself a 1998 ford service wiring manual.

 

I already have access to a full wiring for the truck. I figure just tap into my tach wire for the input
