1999 Ranger, 3.0 L - Will regular fuel pump work (have flex fuel)

I need to replace the fuel pump, but want to purchase a less expensive one I found on ebay that is not for Rangers with flex fuel capability. Will the standard pump work? I don't care about alt fuel options...I live in a landlocked Alaskan community where they're not available anyway. I just want to make sure the standard pump will be compatible before purchasing it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

They look different, don't have any first hand experience though.

Not interchangeable.

The FFV pump assembly has one more wire and an extra module that the standard pump doesn't have. The FFV pump is also regulated to a lower fuel pressure than the other pump and the PCM is calibrated to match.
