2.9 v6 help
Not sure where to post this since I couldn't find a v6 forum for the 2.9. My truck is lacking power bad, I've replaced all questionable sensors as well as the computer, both fuel pumps and filters. I've also set the tps to .96 and cleaned the throttle body. The fluids all look good and there's empty cats on it now since try where shot. I basically have to ride the clutch just to start out other wise is will stutter and die, freeway speeds take over a mile to achieve. Plugs, rotor, wires, and cap have all been replaced. I did notice that when I used the timing marks on the harmonic balancer that the number one piston isn't all the way up, I went ahead and put the plug back in and it wouldn't start no matter how I advanced or retarded the distributor. I pulled the plug back out and brought it up to its highest point on a compression stroke and the timing marks are off by 3-4 inches. But it started right up. Am I loosing power due to a jumped tooth or two? The egr is also not hooked up, it's still bolted on just no hose from the egr to solenoid or the position sensor. Someone please help I am about to spend a couple bucks and burn it to the ground. As a side note the cylinders all measured 145-158 psi
