2 warning lights and some queries.

2 warning lights have just popped on the dash.

the first is the service engine light indicating the vehicle has detected a concern with the electric auxiliary coolant pump and the second is a powertrain malfunction/reduced power with is saying the system has detected a powertrain or a 4wd fault.

the 2nd light came on last year and I took it in and the ford garage said nowt to worry about and turned it off and its come back on now. the first light ive not seen.

I must also say the stop/start seldom comes on now and when it does come on it is generally after the ranger has had a good long drive.

It is a Sept 2019 bi turbo model and has always been serviced and had its timing belt changed last Autumn. Ive not replaced the battery ever - is this causing lack of stop start ?

I also occasionally notice a smell like Ammonia in the cab and wonder if this is all related.

Oil levels are all fine and fuel economy has not changed or altered. It starts fine and drives great.

Any thoughts before I book into the garage?
