Windshield washer line popping off pump outlet
Hey fellas,
I have a strange issue with my '09 4.0L. The line keeps coming off the outlet of the windshield washer pump. After replacing it, it'll stay put for a few days or weeks, then pop off again. Diagrams I've found online don't show a clamp of any kind so I assume it's just a friction fit on the outlet of the pump. The line looks ok. It's not split or damaged. Thinking I'll just put a small clamp on the line and call it fixed.
Just wondering if anyone else has run into this.

I thought of that, but it seems to spray fine. Since you mentioned it, I may just clean out the lines to be sure before putting a clamp on it.

That would happen on my coolant line. Being that its a split bottle for coolant and washer fluid, I found the hoses heat up, expand and pop off. This is just based on my own experience, I'm not 100% on this for yours. I ended up using a black zip tie to tighten them and they have been fine since. For your trucks age and the fine mesh filters the pumps have, it is tough to clog the lines
