2002 Mirrors Broken question...(bob maybe?)

Ok so my XLT was parked on the street all day, I normaly never let it sit there but my dad put it there. anyways. Some one hit my mirror and blew out all the glass and crap. by any chance can you remove the part that holds the glass and just replace it, now this is a 2002 MANUAL mirror not the flags but kind that looks just like the power. I dont want to force it just incase i cant. I am guessing its cheaper to buy the glass part then the whole mirror and the housing seems to be ok just a tad looser then normal. anybody that knows anything about this please let me know

An 02-05 glass mirror would work good. I actually have a set of mirrors(just the glass) from 2004 ranger power mirrors that i need to give away, I'm not sure if the power and manual mirrors will interchange, if so you can have them.

According to people who have tried it, the manual mirror glass insert will not interchange with the power mirror glass insert on 2002~2005 Rangers. Apparently, the way the mirror insert mounts to the adjustment platform is completely different.
