2004 XLT Horn relay

I've been searching for a week for anyone that can tell me how to access the relay for the horn. If I replace the fuse, the cruise and dome light work and if I quickly tap the horn pad I can hear the relay energizing under the dash on the passenger side. If I hold the horn pad down for more than 1-2 seconds the fuse blows....violently. I have not been able to lay my hands on it. Is it integral to the SJB? Or am I just blind? Any help would be appreciated.

sounds like a short somewhere in the horn circut

Agreed. Probably on the load side of the relay. ......but............ where is the relay? I can hear it but cannot find it. Not under the hood, not under the dashboard on the drivers side between steering column and the radio.

is it in the fuse box on the driver side of the dash?

Nothing on the drivers side. It sounds like its somewhere by the Smart junction box on the passenger side.

yea you would think it would be under the hood but i guess not

That would make too much sense.
