My cab heater, is stuck on heat

First I will say hello, as this is my first post. I didn't come here just to ask this question, but actually stumbled across it looking for options to lift my truck. And figured I'd ask this question I have.
I would post my introduction into the proper forum, but no one ever reads those anyway.

So, my delema. I have an 08 Ranger, which still has pleanty of warranty left, but I am afraid I did something to cause my problem as I noticed it just after I did a couple small mods, which was new headlights, and a new front grille.

So if someone could tell me how the A/C and Heat works in my 08' ranger so I could look for my problem. Everything about the cab heater works normally, except when I turn the dial to change the temperature coming out of the vents it does nothing, just cranked wide open heat all the time. And even in the winter, it is still annoying turning the vent open/closed or cracking the window.

So is there anything up front of the truck near my headlights that I would have touched that could have blocked a flapper, or pinched a cable or something?

Help is appreciated. Thanks

nothing that you did, sounds like the normal ranger heater to me. 2 settings sweating your ***** off or freezing them off.

No, what is wrong is the temperature dial is doing nothing, not that I'm pickey and can't find the right setting, but I can't get cold air to come out of the vents.

well, still it was nothing you did. Does your AC work on the MAX or AC setting? Since you should still be in your factory warranty I would recommend taking it in to your local dealer. They should be able to fix it if they find something.

If you have removed the HVAC control unit for any reason, make sure all the vacuum lines/cables/clectrcal connectors are hooked up. if they are, take it in because the blend door is probably stuck or the blend door actuator is bad

I had the dash apart a couple years ago when I first got the truck to run some wires and put in a new deck(which I never kept). I'm going to check the back of the control unit and if there's nothing loose, I guess it's a trip to the stealership. Thanks for the help.

Well, took the truck in for the warranty work, and turned out to be the blend door actuator.
