Which of 3.
A friend has a 06 F150 5.4 3valve engine. He wants to try and catch me at the local track.
He consulted with some local shops and has had ' mixed results ' for answers on which way to go.
He wanted to run a staged wett setup, I advised againnst it as his truck is a daily driver.
One shop wanted 10 grand for a whipple setup ( Junk IMO ) and 11 grand for a Kenne Bell.
My advice to him : ATI PS1C-1 , 8-25pounds of boost available, 3 core innercooler ( sits in the vailience, not on the engine ) , self contained unit, really quiet, full sleeper potential. Should be able ( with tunign ) to make 550-600 HP/Tq at the wheels.
If you could have 1 of the above, which would you choose and why?

He called Kennedies this morning.. PS1C-1, 3 core innercooler, capable of 25psi/3bar.. 9500$ installed. they guess he should put down 575 at the rear wheels. He needs to upgrade his tranny and valvebody for it as the present tranny ( he has a 4x4 ) will NOT take the torque.
I'm hoping he goes with the ATI unit.

I vote option 3. Seems like for the money and specs it would be the best setup. Also I agree with Zabeard, that a sleeper like that would be awesome. An F-150 pushin 575 would pass everything but a gas station and no one would see it coming.
He has $10k to throw into his truck!!?? I would then add two other options to the list:
D- Sell his 06 f-150 and buy a 2003 Lighting
E- Keep the 06, buy a fox body Mustang with a s-trim and other stuff and run 10's with less then $10k.
