Headlights and Fogs

Hi Guys!

Please forgive me for the noobish questions but i was wondering if running a #9006 SliverStar Ultra in my fogs would work..? I don't see why it wouldn't, being that the stock bulb is #9006 too. Is there some sort of wattage match up im missing out on. I have a set of the SilverStar Ultras laying around for my headlights (#9007) but haven't gotten the chance to throw them in yet. Is SIlverstar the way to go? I'm just looking for some light upgrades for when im out on the dark country roads at night without upgrading to HID and without off-road lighting! Thanks guys!

Spence

I had Silverstars a few years back with no complaints. If that's what in there now you'll be fine as I believe they are the same wattage, just a whiter light.

I have no clue what is in there now to be honest, i know in the manual for replacement bulbs it says the headlights are #9007 and the foglights "if equipped" are #9006. The bulbs i have in now are very yellow and not too bright.

Headlights will definitely be 9007s, but I'd pull a fog light bulb to make sure though!

Correct, bulb # is the key, not the power consumption.

When buying from a parts store you wont find odd/high wattage bulbs with stock bases. Itll be OEM with manufacturer, simply the gases and filament inside the bulb will produce more light.

Rule of thumb ive always: Take stock wattage + stock wattage/2 = MAX wattage I would run without changing anything. (30W + 15W = 45W MAX!)
