4.0L V6 1989 Wiring Diagram

Hi everybody,

I have at home a 1989 v6 4.0L engine from Ford Ranger to make an engine swap to one Portuguese 4x4 car, UMM Alter.
Unfortunately the ford ranger crash.....

I would to acquire the necessary information to do my project, right now im trying to do the electrical connections
Can someone share an wiring diagram of the engine or tell me the right way to search it?

My big dought is the pinout on the socket that connect the engine wiring to the car. Its a square connector with +/- 40pins

Many thanks for your help

Best regards

These are the 1994 diagrams and may be easier to follow

The 1989 may have been a 2.9l that someone swap in a 4.0l, was a popular up grade
If you look at the label on the computer it will tell you what YEAR the computer is for

First 2 digits of the number are the year
E = 1980s, so E5 is a985, E9 is 1989
F = 1990's, F0 is 1990, F3 is 1993

Example here: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/R6sAA...fn6/s-l400.jpg

E8TF-, would be 1988

12A650 is the part number of EVERY Ford computer, still used in 2022
