500W off-road lights

500W off-road lights

I put 2 6" 500W off-road lights on my truck last night and right as soon as i got done hooking them up my truck wouldnt start and i put another battery in it and it still wouldnt start. what can i do and what can i look for? does anybody have any ideas of what i can do?

stop lying. they don't even make a 500 watt bulb. highest is 130.

Not true, you can still find the 150watt KC lights around if you look hard enough. How did you wire the lights up?

i hope he doesn't think that the '500' on the hella's isn't refering to the wattage.

Is the truck turning over at all when you try to crank it? I would un do the lights for now and see if you can start it that way.

Check your alternator and starter. I would take it to an auto parts store and get them to check it for you. If its not even starting it sounds like you fried your starter somehow. Are any lights on or anything when you turn the key?

Yeah thats what I'm thinking. LOL

Did you hook your battery up and CORRECTLY? You must have fried something. Thats the only thing I can think of.

na on my starter that bolt that the main cable is bolted to was loose and it wasn't getting good connection. thats what was wrong. i wouldn't of ever thought that would of ever happen. but it did
