91 Ford Ranger not Blowing Hot Air

Hi All,

I have a 91 Ford Ranger Supercab with a 3.0 engine.

The preciouprevious owner rip the AC out of the truck so I don't have any cold air. Then again I can just rolled down the windows. No big deal.

The serpentine belt is 2 belts instead of 1, this way it bypasses the AC Blower.

My problem is that the blower will not work. I acisentally hit the **** to turn on the AC and since then it won't blow hot air. I can feel hot air coming through since I have ot set to allow air from outside to come in and blow into the cab.. So I know there is hot air.

When i turn the ****, it just spins instead of making that click sound when you turn it on, and adjust if you want it to blow low, medium or high.

I thinkIthe **** is stripped but I don't know where to start to fix it.

Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to the forum

This is one without AC, is this what yours looks like: https://www.ebay.com/itm/89-FORD-RANGER-CLIMATE-Controller/172887462875?hash=item2840e553db%3Ag%3AEeIAAOSw%7E oFZyrD3%3Asc%3AUSPSPriority%2198225%21US%21-1&fits=Year%3A1991%7CModel%3ARanger%7CMake%3AFor d

This is just the Blower switch: https://www.ebay.com/itm/EXPLORER-RANGER-1989-1994-ac-HVAC-Blower-Control-Switch/223327402862?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.M BE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20131003132420%26meid%3D293ed5 e6afd740878c96f9c746c07749%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2 %26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D132795580977%26itm%3D22332740286 2&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
And has the push on AC

Turning on AC without compressor hooked up doesn't do any, blower switch may have just broke, not common but can happen

The air temp is controlled by the COLD/HOT slider, it moves a door that covers heater core or opens heater core, it is cable operated, you can see the cable's end where it hooks to the door if you fold down glove box all the way and look in the gap above it
