93 2WD 2.3

My interior dome light and exterior bed light won't turn off... I tried to lubricate, then replaced the door jamb switches but it hasn't solved the problem. At this point, I've just completely removed both light assemblies as to not drain my battery.... Any advice on where to go next or at least some explanation of how those circuits work to point me in the right direction?

 

Have you checked the dash light dimmer switch ?

 

Good question... My dash light switch hasn't worked in probably over a year... that's a year with zero dash lights, so I didn't even think about it... could that still be the problem given that situation? Not sure what I would be checking for in that case.
