95 xlt will not start has fire and fuel
I could use some help I have a 1995 ford ranger XLT 4CYL. WITH 8 PLUGS 2wd vin # 1FTCR10A6SUB75804
TIMING BELT WAS BROKEN WHEN I GOT IT CHANGED BELT TIMING MARKS ARE RIGHT ON GETTING FUEL AND SPARK CAN SEE FIRE OUT ONE SET OF SPARK PLUGS BUT IT FELLS LIKE AIR BLOWING OUT OF INTAKE BODY BUTTERFLY ALSO SOUND OF BACK FIRE ONCE OUT EXHUAST CHECKED WITH TIMING LIGHT FRINING ON TC MARK COMPRESSION WEEK ABOUT 70 to 80 PSI BUT GAUGE HARD TO GET SEATED IN HEAD JUST WON'T RUN ANY IDEAS

I have no experience with the four cylinder, but your symptoms with the new belt would indicate that the valve timing is not right.
eg, air blowing out of the intake body/back firing.
It won't really run at 70 to 80 psi, but who knows if that's accurate, since you say that it may nit be seated properly.

Valve and ignition timing are two different things. Ignition timing is unaffected if the valve timing is wrong.
Ignition timing is set from the timing marks on the harmonic dampener and can't be changed, it doesn't matter where the belt is.
It also depends on the engine, some 4 cylinders with a belt are an interference engine and some are not.
There's a guy here by the name of Ron, he would know for sure.
There is a Lima and Duratec engine, but the Duratec has a chain.
