AC Compressor Cycling

Hello. My AC compressor clutch is cycling on and off excessively. Seems like the low pressure side of the refrigerant is at good pressure. The WOT AC relay and PCM relay click upon engage and disengage of the clutch which makes me think there is some electrical issue. I know that both relays are fine though. Any pointers are on where to start? Which sensors to test?

Turns out that the system was low. The WOT AC relay name is deceiving. That relay actually switches the compressor clutch on and off. When the pressure hits a low limit, the pressure sensor indicates to the ECM and the ECM actuates the relay to remove power from the AC clutch. That is what was happening until I was able to get enough refrigerant in the system to get the pressure up. Just FYI!

Good point. Any time the compressor cycles on and then off quickly is a sure sign of low pressure/freon. This is to "save" the compressor.

Hi, Awesome news you got yours to work. Maybe you guys can suggest something in my case? My compressor only comes on for 2 to 4 seconds when the vehicle starts. If I jump the compressor straight form the battery it cools the cabin. But other wise I changed the low pressure sensor and nothing yet. When I hook one of those gauges that come with the 134 cans, it reads over 100 with the vehicle on and off. Thank you for your time and advise.
