Luminics or Nokya, your gonna need to add a heavy-duty relay harness, about $40 from summitracing.com...

Luminics has a yellow bulb. ^^^^What he said....about $40, and about $15 for the upgraded harness.....I HIGHLY suggest the upgraded 14ga harness...I melted my stock headlamp plugs when I ran Luminics Titaniums in my headlamps.

I've been running yellow Nokya's in my fogs for a while now with stock wiring and no problems.

I was just gonna say.......

There must be yellow replacement bulbs that just replace the OEM ones......no harness or BS needed.

BTW, how do you like the yellow fogs in the OEM foglight on the truck? You find they help any?

I had 2 pairs of fogs on my POS Shadow ( white for driving, and yellow behind the grille for fog). I personally found them to be just the same as the whites, just a dimmer light that didn't bounce back off the fog and into your face. I just had cheap fogs though.

i dunno I like it, it seems to make immediate road visibility a bit better in crap weather, and like you said it reflects less.

^^Thus the reason alot of "fog lamps" in the aftermarket are yellow. Doesn't bounce off fog, making it better for visibility.

it depends on the housing as well.. these trucks dont have "fog lights" they have driving lights.. they spred the light out in a flood patern they dont have a cut off to keep the light from projection upward (this is where you get your bounce back from fog) fog lights work just like OEM projector headlights they have a cut off on the top of the light so 100% of you light is aimed at the ground not flooded infront of you.. so no mater the color its not going to change the visability in fog. get real fog lights and you will see the diference.. i have tryed this in 2 diferent cars and the yellow color did nothing in poor weather..

I bought Nokya 9005 in Hyper Yellow for my "fog" lights. I did remove the reflector inside the housing. It basically focuses the beam more. Without it in there the pattern is very broad and hardly aims upward.

thanks guys

Yes the yellow does make a big diff in the fog, had aftermarket on my last two vehicles. From the sounds of it i'll likely get some aftermarket lights once i get enough set aside for the safari bar.

I've got 3000k HID's in my factory fogs... I love it... It shines up immediate road well in any weather, especially crappy weather...

Shane drove it the other night... He'll vouch for me and say I think the yellow bulb is a must!!!

in my companys work van i installed the PIAA fog lights with the plasma or Ion yellow bulb i belive and they do work very good.

and i have burned up both my headlights/ foglights in my truck running Nokya and Piaa bulbs.

another friend of mine melted his whole diamond cut headlight from the Nokya headlights and he could not get it out it melted it so bad,

another friend in a 02 ranger i ended it up replacing all his connections to because it melted the wired back so i dont mess around anymore i just get the harness and never think about it again and now i have a special HID wiring harness kit for them i run to.
