99 3.0 XLT 4-door Keyless Entry problem

The newest member of the family fleet is now on the road following engine replacement and the PO wasn't exactly kind to this truck so there are some things that need to be sorted out.
As a 3.0 extended cab model it automatically got the chipped key and the antitheft system. My truck also has the power equipment group with power windows, mirrors, door locks and remote keyless entry.
The first thing I noticed was that the power door locks didn't work. The second thing I noticed was that the 15A fuse for that function was missing.
I installed a fuse and the power locks seemed to work. For one or two cycles. Then they stopped working. I left the fuse in place while doing other work in the cab and eventually realized that the power locks were being pulsed over and over. I guess this is why the fuse was missing.
I printed the power door lock/RKE schematic off Shop Key and, WOW, what a complicated mess. I decided to troubleshoot starting at the RAP module connector and that's where the head scratching began. Where exactly IS that RAP module? The Shop Key schematic says "left rear corner of cab" but I don't see any wiring going to that area. I didn't want to break any plastic push pins or panels so I decided to make a trip to a junkyard to do some disassembly. There were no 99s but they did have a couple of 2000 extended cabs. Definitely nothing in the back corners of those trucks so I kept searching and found it behind the RH kick panel. I got the module from that truck and went hope expecting to have an easy victory. Nope. RAP module is not behind the RH kick panel on a 99.
Undaunted, I continued to search for the RAP module on my 99 and eventually found it mounted to the center rear of the cab, directly under the slider window.
Here's a pic of the loot f rom my salvage yard trip. $38
