ABS and Traction control light

I own a 2010 ranger 2.3l. My abs and traction control light kept turning on at 50+ mph. I connected a obd scanner it it was code c1296 (front left wheel speed sensor) so i replaced it and the light still turns on but now at 30 mph+ instead of 50. Any idea or tips that could help?

Welcome to the forum

Traction control uses the 4 wheel ABS system, so when both lights come on its always an ABS issue, just FYI

So after sensor replacement did the code change, or still the same code?

With key off and then key on the next time the ABS light should come on and then go OFF, its an ABS reset and module test
If the ABS light stays on without vehicle moving then there is still a problem
If ABS light is off and then comes back in after driving then it usually a wheel sensor issue

You can try this soft reset for warning lights
Key on engine off
Disconnect Negative battery cable from terminal, key must be on for this to work
Wait 1 or 2 min
Reconnect Negative cable and tighten it back up
You will hear noises in engine bay because key was on, thats normal
Check if the ABS and TC lights are off now
