Ok looking to buy couple of remotes for my 04 edge and dealer told me they are $55 each for the two button remote. Looking at them on-line they seem to go for $10-$20. Programming is not too difficult from what I understand so no need to go to dealer for that.
Has anyone bought these aftermarket remotes? are there some to avoid?

I can't speak to your year, but the aftermarket fobs for my '99 are about $10 for a two pack on Amazon and worked great.

I have done aftermarket standard fobs, keys with the fobs incorporated into the key head (requires altering the ignition shield) and a switchblade key with built-in fob (also requires altering the ignition shield). ALL of these aftermarket fobs work just fine... all of them were cheap on eBay.
