Alons mounts... how to run

I just installed Alon's CB mount and was wondering how you guys ran your cable from the antenna to the CB.

I ran mine through the shift boot down through the bottom of the truck and up though one of the holes in the front of the truck bed (towards the cab), and then to the rear of the bed to the antenna mount.

Did you guys experience and problems while trying to tune your CB?

Any advice or pictures help.

Thanks

-Jake

EDIT: does the mounting place for the antenna bracket act as a sufficent ground?

I ran mine thru a grommet in the firewall, where the most of the wires from the fuseblock in the engine bay penetrate the cab. From there, i ran down the framerails to the driver side brake light harness, then popped up the rear stake pocket. Zip ties are your friend.

How is your signal? And are there any sharp turnes or pinches in the cable?

I am just wondering if running it through the shifter boot is a good idea?

I ran mine under my expo console and under the carpet, through the back door, over the bed rail, through the bed between the cap clamps and through the taillight and to the antenna

imo....wire wheel the paint off the mount. wire wheel the paint on the bed where the bolt goes on. that should be a sufficient ground. I suggest running the coax end that has the crimp on connectors, rather than the screw on ones. and of course...stainless stud and spring.
